Create a 3D Ebook cover with Pixlr Editor

How To Create a 3D Ebook Cover for Free with Pixlr Editor:

I wanna show you another great tutorial about creating a great 3D Ebook Cover in only a few steps and totally for free with the PIXLR EDITOR.

Just follow the instructions below and check it out!

Step 1:

Create your 2D Ebook Cover with Paint, PowerPoint, www.Canva.com, Photoshop or other software. I made my one with Canva.

Step 2:

Download a free blank 3D Ebook Template from the Internet to your computer.

There are different versions to find, here you can download the following templates to your computer by clicking on the images (does not work in Safari, Internet Explorer or Opera Mini – you only get the URL of the template – see following instructions in Step 3 for that):

A blank standard large 3D Ebook Template:

Click for download

Or a spiral-bound book 3D template:

Step 3:

Open https://pixlr.com/editor/

Click on OPEN IMAGE FROM COMPUTER.

Open Image Pixlr Editor

Note: When you don’t have saved the template on the computer and you only have saved the URL of the template, then you have to click on OPEN IMAGE FROM URL.

What’s the difference?

You only have the URL, when the clickable image like below is not a download link and you only got the URL by clicking on it:

In this case, you have to copy the URL in your browser and click on OPEN IMAGE FROM URL.

Select the saved file of the blank 3D Ebook Template or paste the URL in the window when you have chosen OPEN IMAGE FROM URL (see image below).

Then you got this:

Step 4:

Click on Layer – Open image as Layer – choose your 2D Ebook cover

Step 5:

Click on Edit – Free distort (Note: the image should be smaller than the template. If its too big like in the image below, then choose first “Free transform” and adjust the size – save)

Now it’s smaller:

Step 6:

Drag the blue boxes to the 4 edges of the template! Make sure it fits and be very accurate here.

Step 7:

Save (choose to My computer) – OK

Now you have a nice 3D Ebook Cover!

And here is the great result!

Have fun with PowerPoint! 🙂
