How To Find A Niche

What is a Niche?

A niche is your audience, a group of people you want to reach with your website. This group of people is searching for something very specific.

Your niche should be something you are an expert of!
Your niche should be something you can really talk about!
Your niche should be something you really enjoy!

Your niche should be something that makes your eyes shine bright, right?

In order to find your niche, you should ask yourself:

What are my hobbies?
What is my passion?
What are my interests?
What are my skills?
What could I do the whole day long?

And: the most important point:

A niche are products that solve problems and make a difference in people’s lives!

Helping, rather than Selling!

So, ask yourself: Do I have a solution for a specific issue?

Say, in your last 5 years you had to deal with very severe health issues. In order to help your body heal, you learned everything about healthy eating.
So, your niche could be a website with healthy food recipes and you could promote a blender you’re using at home for your green smoothies. This could be your specific niche which solves problems in people’s lives.

And: any niche can be successful, but if you choose a niche you are passionate about, you are going to be successful in your business because you are enjoying what you are doing.

Cool! Smart way of finding a niche and well I agree with you that a niche is finding problems!
A lot of ppl made this mistake by thinking finding a niche product and start a site immediately .
Nope.A niche is a topic.something that had lots of good contents to help people.
Example like how to cook fast vs air Fryer (gadget)
The former will let you freed yourself to cover lots of products ( do competition analysis of course)
And latter will only restrict you to air Fryer review and recipes.
    My two sense.
    Lol

      Hello Jeff!
Glad that you agree with me! Yes, I absolutely think it’s very important to find a solution for a problem as our niche! We all have found, hopefully, many solutions for certain problems in our life, and because of that, we are very authentic when we are offering to help people on our website! If that’s our niche, that’s very amazing.
The example of the air fryer is very good! Thanks for that and for stopping by!
      Cheers, Gerlinde

I understand the importance of the niche. What I don’t understand is what you do with the niche once you find it. Do you put it on a business card. Do you put it on the website. Is it something you just carry around in your mind to remind you of what your niche is. Or is it just helpful so when you’re doing your marketing.

      Hello Eva,
when you’ve found your niche, you can build your business around it! Your niche is what you are going to promote! It can be a product (e. g. a blender) or a solution to a problem (e. g. weight loss). When you find your niche you can create a website or a facebook page where you promote the niche (products) as an affiliate marketer, but you can also simply offer courses in order to help people lose weight if that’s your niche. Your niche is your targeted audience. So, creating a website with your niche is only one possibility. You can also make videos or write ebooks about it or whatever you like in order to promote your niche.
Hope this helps, Eva! Thanks for stopping by!
      Cheers, Gerlinde
